Class schedule

Renzo Gracie East Side (RGES) welcomes students of all levels, from a total beginner to a seasoned black belt.

Use the dropdown menu on the right side to navigate between the regular class schedule and the schedule for introductory classes for people trying BJJ for the first time.

Visitors and trial class students should plan to attend our sessions available at noon or later; morning classes are currently open only to existing students. People interested in starting with an adult morning class may email info@renzogracieeastside.com for possible accommodations.

A general description of each class can be viewed by clicking on the information icon and the additional details about classes can be found below.

Additional information:

  • We want our students to train as much as they can, which means that students may occasionally need to arrive once a class has started or leave before a class officially ends — as long as it is done safely and without disturbing the class.

  • Visitors are able to take classes at RGES. The first drop-in for visitors is free during Summer 2024. Visitors should pre-register here to expedite the on-site check-in experience (select the "Summer 2024 Drop In” option in the Membership section).

  • Kickboxing classes do not require an intro class; students new to kickboxing may attend any class. We ask that students taking their first kickboxing class, including existing members, arrive approximately 15 minutes early to introduce themselves to the instructor.

  • Kids classes do not require an intro class. We ask that students taking their first kids class arrive approximately 15 minutes early to introduce themselves to the instructor.

  • Intro to BJJ

    • People who have never done BJJ before should do a free Intro to BJJ class with us before taking other classes. If you have only taken a handful of classes elsewhere or it’s been a long time since you’ve last trained, you’re welcome to take an Intro to BJJ class to refamiliarize yourself with key movements and safety practices before attending class.

    • The Intro to BJJ class is designed to pair with that evening’s gi class, which students are able to take at no charge. Intro students may watch the nogi class that precedes the gi class on Tuesdays and Thursdays or they are welcome to return to the academy for the gi class.

    • To do an Intro to BJJ class that isn’t on the schedule, please reach out to membership@renzogracieeastside.com with some dates and times that would work for you and the team will do our best to accommodate an appointment.
